During his campaigns, Mr. SHAKAFUSWA has focused on defending his track record during the period he served as Mandevu MP by informing the electorate that they need to give him chance to continue his developmental agenda, by re-electing him. On the other hand, he has focused his campaign message on discrediting opposition candidates by informing the electorate that the constituency would lag behind if they voted for the opposition. His other key campaign messages included, initiating empowerment opportunities for women and the youths, improving the existing road network and connectivity, improving delivery of health services by constructing more infrastructure, highlighting the benefits of the free education policy, urging the electorate to vote for both the Head of State and himself to facilitate for continued development and enhancing accessibility to clean and safe water. He has also been accusing the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance of exploiting the delayed burial of the late Edgar Chagwa LUNGU, Sixth Republican President for political sympathy. Mr. SHAKAFUSWA’s campaign messages and public reception has been gaining momentum, with many residents expressing willingness to support him, stating that he would work well with the Head of State to develop the constituency.
